If you are driving to the Alamodome, please plan to arrive no later than 6:30 a.m. so you can park and walk to the designated corral at the start line before opening ceremonies. Allow ample time for possible traffic delays and parking entrance lines in the area due to the high volume of vehicles headed downtown. REMINDER: Streets will close at 6:30 a.m.
We expect more than 30,000. Traffic control will close downtown streets by 6:30 a.m. for Race course. Available parking is city managed with fees of $10 to $12.
Weather conditions are unpredictable and it may be hot and humid on Race morning. Participants should arrive and remain properly hydrated and be prepared to run/walk 5K* (3.1 miles) or run 6K (6.2 miles) on paved city streets.
Rain or Shine
The Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In the event, there will be no refunds; rather, your entry fee will be considered a donation to the Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure.
For your safety
For the safety of all participants, in-line skates and pets will not be allowed on the course. Strollers, baby joggers and wagons are permitted, but you are asked to go to the back of the line for you and other participants safety. Thank you for your cooperation.
New and returning volunteers are encouraged to get involved. The first 600 volunteers to register will receive a T-shirt courtesy of Quilted Northern Ultra in appreciation for their efforts. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed and parking is not included (downtown lots are city managed; see parking fees below).
